Net Support UK team enter iNVNCBL!

A small team of keen (some would say foolish) Net Support UK employees are entering iNVNCBL in Merthyr Mawr on Saturday 10th March to challenge ourselves and GET FIT!

The gruelling 10km race promises to be challenging, wet, muddy and possibly terrifying.

The team consists of myself (Internal Recruiter), Client Advisor Kerry Adshead, and Liz Mahoney our Programme Manager. I asked how they’re feeling just a few days before the race:

Kerry says “EXCITED EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!! However, I’m a little anxious about the cold. I’ve completed all three iNVNCBLs last year and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I am a newbie at NSUK – so this is my first event with the company. It’ll be great fun to finish together with my team.”

Liz says “Nervous and excited! I love the adrenaline rush after finishing races, it’s such a huge achievement to complete these challenges! I’ve done several events with the NSUK team and look forward to doing many more.”

For those of you who do not know what the event is, here is some useful information:

“For all you thrill seekers out there, meet iNVNCBL; the most challenging obstacle course race you’ll get the chance of experiencing. As one of Wales’ finest obstacle course races, to complete it you will need fire, tenacity and lots of ambition. Set in various locations of the Welsh countryside, our courses are perfect if you want to get down and dirty whilst being in the fresh open air with a stunning backdrop. With features such as mud crawls, swamp swimming and monkey bars there’s no better place to take on such a physical and fun challenge!”

Sounds like fun? Perhaps you too could get involved…..

At NSUK we support our employees to be healthy and happy – we provide free fruit for our staff daily, have lunchtime running teams and join in on local fitness events together. This is just an example of how our social committee use their budget to support our staff.

Our HR Manager, Amy says:

“Our staff are our most important asset and ensuring that they always feel challenged is key to their personal and professional development. Our company values include ‘Excellence’ and ‘Passionate’ and our team exude these in all they do. It is great to see Gemma, Liz and Kerry getting involved in this challenge, pushing themselves to do the best they can and we wish them all the best to get across the finish line.”

Stay tuned for our next event in October when 12 of us will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon. Safe to say we are all a little nervous but looking forward to it…..eekk!
